Bachelor’s Program in Psychology

Psychology is the science that describes, explains and controls the behaviors and mental processes of humans. As an applied science, it seeks to shed light on the relation between the mind and concepts such as growth, health, social behavior, cognition and so on.

It addresses concepts like perception, cognition, concentration, attention, feelings, phenomenology, motivation, mental processes, personality, behavior, interpersonal relationships, family and so on. Psychologists use scientific and experimental methods to understand the causal or correlational relations between different psychological phenomena. Psychology is an inter-discipline; it is similar to humanities since its subject of study (mind) is not visible. It is also similar to experimental sciences because it uses scientific methods and experiments. Psychologist’s attitude towards humans make it similar to philosophy.
