Bachelor’s Program in Psychology
Psychology is the science that describes, explains and controls the behaviors and mental processes of humans. As an applied science, it seeks to shed light on the relation between the mind and concepts such as growth, health, social behavior, cognition and so on.
It addresses concepts like perception, cognition, concentration, attention, feelings, phenomenology, motivation, mental processes, personality, behavior, interpersonal relationships, family and so on. Psychologists use scientific and experimental methods to understand the causal or correlational relations between different psychological phenomena. Psychology is an inter-discipline; it is similar to humanities since its subject of study (mind) is not visible. It is also similar to experimental sciences because it uses scientific methods and experiments. Psychologist’s attitude towards humans make it similar to philosophy. In sum, psychology is a unique mixture of biology, anthropology, linguistics, sociology, philosophy and so on.
Master’s Program in Family Therapy
Family therapy concentrates on family members’ interactions and seeks to improve the performance of family as a unit made of different members.
Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology
Clinical psychology is a branch of psychology which seeks to understand, diagnose and treat cognitive, emotional, behavioral, biological and social disorders. I has a wide application in the field of psychology. It has six roles, including assessment and diagnosis, intervention and treatment, consultation, education and supervision and research and management. However, it concentrates on diagnosis, treatment, education and research.
